Secretary -Treasurer Nick Kaledin and Board Member Maria Somma attended the NYS AFL-CIO convention August 21 – 23 in New York City. Highlights of the convention included speeches by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, US Senator Chuck Schumer and NYS Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

The convention unanimously returned NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento and Secretary-Treasurer Terrence L. Melvin each to an additional four year term in office and expressed support for Hillary Clinton in her bid to become President of the United States and also for Senator Schumer in his re-election bid. Other IATSE Locals attending were Local 1, Local 52, Local 600, Local 751, Local 764, and USA Local 829.
