In Memoriam: Stanley Kaminsky

It is with sadness ATPAM announces the death on March 29, 2018, of Gold Card Press Agent, Stanley Kaminsky, in Los Angeles, California. Brother Kaminsky was 89-years-old and had been a member of ATPAM since 1965.

Among the shows Brothers Kaminsky represented on Broadway were: Seascape – starring Frank Langella (1975), The Hashish Club – produced by Jon Voight (1975), the original productions of Follies (1971) and Company (1970), Borstal Boy (1970), The Front Page (revival – 1969), The Three Sisters, Tiny Alice and A Flea in Her Ear (All three in rep at the ANTA Playhouse – 1969), The Exercise (1968), Where’s Daddy (1966) and UTBU (1966).

Stanley represented touring productions of the hit musical Annie, and was Press Agent when that attraction played the Desert Inn in Las Vegas, marking one of the earlier incursions of Broadway musicals into that city. He also represented Godspell when it played the Wilbur Theatre in Boston and the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami, Florida.

After moving to Southern California, Stanley was a publicist at the Mark Taper Forum and also for the LA Chamber Orchestra at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena.

Stanley is survived by his partner of 21 years, Chung Cheng Fang, whom he married in 2013.

He will be missed.
