In Memoriam: Spofford Beadle

It is with sadness ATPAM announces the passing on May 24 of Manager Spofford Beadle, age 85, in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Brother Beadle had been a member of ATPAM since 1962. He worked for many seasons as the House Manager at Broadway’s Majestic Theater, retiring from that position in 2003. On Broadway, he produced The Lieutenant (1975 Tony Award Nominee for Best Musical), The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wood and And Miss Reardon Drinks a Little. He also performed in Third Best Sport and was a Stage Manager on the 1956 production of King Lear starring Orson Welles.

Brother Beadle is survived by two sons, two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
