It is with sadness that ATPAM announces the death on June 26, 2016 of Manager Lauren Yates in New York City. Sister Yates was 54 years old and had been a member of ATPAM since 1999. Lauren worked as Manager on the Broadway musicals Glory Days, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Riverdance. She toured with Bring In Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, Riverdance, The Civil War and Play On. Among the Off-Broadway attractions she managed were: The Banana Monologues, Potted Potter, Bare, Elvis People, The Property Known as Garland, Almost Maine, The Prince and the Pauper, 4 Guys Named Jose and Jam On The Groove. Lauren also worked as a General Manager for Martian Entertainment.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 11 am (viewing at 10) at the Nesbitt Funeral Home at 175 Englewood Avenue in Englewood, NJ 07631 (ph – 201.567.6600). Lauren is survived by her husband William Porter, who has requested that donations be made in her name to ‘The Production Farm’ at http://www.theproductionfarm.org/
She will be missed.
