It is with sadness ATPAM announces the death on July 18 of Press Agent Miller Wright, age 59, in New York City. Brother Wright had been a member of ATPAM since 1992.
Miller began his Press Agent career as apprentice to Shirley Herz. He later worked at the Lincoln Center Theater and, in 2001, formed his own company. In addition to representing theatrical productions, Miller also had many clients in the cabaret world, including Ann Hampton Callaway and Feinstein’s Cabaret at the Regency Hotel.
Among the productions Miller represented both on and Off-Broadway were: Catskills on Broadway, Forever Plaid, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Translations, Park You Car in Harvard Yard, Crazy He Calls Me, Honour, Contact, A New Brain, The Old Neighborhood, Dancing at Lughnasa, Fiddler on the Roof (1990 Revival), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1990 Revival) and Gypsy (1989 Revival). Most recently he represented The Luck of the Irish, again at the Lincoln Center Theater.
Brother Wright is survived by his mother, two sisters, a half-sister and other extended family.
He will be missed.
