In Memoriam: Eugene V. Wolsk

It is with sadness ATPAM announces the passing on May 2 of Gold Card Manager Eugene V. Wolsk, age 84.  Brother Wolsk, who lived in New York City and Montauk, Long Island, had been a member of ATPAM since 1962.  A graduate of Allegheny College and the Yale School of Drama, he began his long theatrical career as the Company Manager of the Broadway hit Tchin-Tchin starring Anthony Quinn.  Among other productions he managed were:  Luther, George M!, Sticks and Bones, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (1972 revival) and The Wiz.  He produced numerous productions also – many of them with fellow ATPAM member Emanuel Azenberg – including The Lion in Winter, Mark Twain Tonight!, The Sunshine Boys, Ain’t Supposed to Die a Natural Death and the long running Off-Broadway musical revue Forever Plaid.

Brother Wolsk is survived by his wife, Laura.
